what is your opinion about paid online surveys? are they real?

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.
Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics — e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old — and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey — you’re definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month. I have earned about $500 from them in the last 4 years - nothing much, just some spare change but it is fun.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don’t earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

I think that they are legit, but with a catch. You have to pay to start, and I think you have to work really hard and do lots of surveys just to earn your money back. I've never known anyone that actually made money off of them.

Stay away from them! Most of them require you to make a certain amount of money before they will pay you, and that requires you doing ALOT of surveys.

It's really difficult to make money with them because most of the time, you need to first qualify for a survey. Only then can you make any money. And when you do, it's usually only like, a dollar.

well, i just recently paid a 35 dollar fee to get paid for surveys online and that was about 2 weeks ago and i've yet to get paid for any of them i only get entered for a chance to win money so it's a bunch of crap if you ask me

Lots of surveys are free to take, but most will only enter you in a contest for a small prize. There are thousand of people who take surveys, so no business could afford to pay survey takers a large amount. It's not worth the time for a $10 study, and most of the time you wind up not qualifying for the $10 and get entered into the contest instead.
You occasionally get to see a product or commercial before it appears to the rest of the world, and sometimes you can see the changes that you (and all the other takers) recommended.

Once you do this, you will know which mystery shopping companies have work in your area, and you can sign up with them.

There are some very good free to join survey sites out there. I would never recommend paying to get a list of survey sites. Surely you can find free to join sites or lists like mine that are free for people to use. How many surveys would you have to complete just to get the money back from paying for a list. Quite a few as high paing single surveys are very few. The best i have had is $30 for a survey from Ciao.

I really agree that doing survey is one of the easiest way to make money online. The most important rule before joining any survey site is to determine whether that site is legit or not. As i put in my articles within my blog, many ways can be used to distinguish between legit and scam site. One way is to determine whether their database is always updated or not. Other than that, you can check the contact number is working or not.
