2. Search and find reputable companies.
The last thing you want to be doing is spending your spare time filling in surveys only to not get paid. There are better things you could be doing with your time. Some survey companies pay you only with points and credits which are worthless. So be aware of how you are going to be paid and try to stick with companies who are reputable.
3. Monitor and increase your earnings over time.
Because payments for completing an individual survey is quite small, sometimes as little as $1 and upwards to $100. On average you should expect something close to the range of $20 per survey. Because each survey company is quite sporadic in the paid surveys online they have available for you to complete you are going to need to sing up to many companies at a time. Each month you should be trying to add additional survey companies to your list so that you are constantly growing the number of survey opportunities for you to complete each month.

Seriously asking here has people trying to scam you.. been there done that. Surveys pay very little and most other things are all fake and want you to pay before you make money. The closest I have found to seriously working from home was places like 1-800-flowers.com and home shopping network channels. They dont pay much like $8 an hour but if your not spending money on gas or sitters if you need them its ok. It is also hard to get them because working from home is so demanding. Go online an apply it could take months for them to call back but it is always worth a shot.
To add I tried the project payday.. answerer #1 and it is a scam also and so is #2 if they want you to invest money they are a scam.

The ones that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).

I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

Hi! Im a stay at home mom, I was looking for something as well and 99% of those offers are scams. It was frusterating and pointless. Then a friend started her own business helping people lose weight and become healthy. She is quite successful, and she just started. You may want to look into it, you can start your own business as well, and its not a scam, its the real thing. I think I will start soon, Im taking the product and its amazing. I agree there are a lot of illegit companies out there and I find that when a good one is offered, people are still sceptical, which I guess is understandable. I have been scammed many of times, but there is one company that i have found that really makes me money, there are no get rich quick jobs, you will have to work at anything to make money….

Ok to start getting educated about work at home jobs you need to visit http://www.wahm.com message boards and read, read, read. There is tons of information there that will help you avoid scams. Next, go to http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site that has a directory of legitimate companies that hire home workers. Depending on your skills and experience, you should find some good leads there.
One thing to keep in mind, is that finding and applying for these jobs can take time. Many times you will never hear back from jobs you applied for. This is typically because the competition for these positions is high and employers often get an overwhelming response. Create a good resume that you can tailor for each job you apply for.

Survey's are not what you think. They require a lot of time, and you won't make what they claim you will. A couple of my friends did a six month test on several different survey sites like Survey Savvy, Harris Poll, Greenfield, Opinion Outpost, Survey Sport, Buzzback, NPD online, Lightspeed Panel, African American, Your2Cents, Project Payday, Inboxdollar, SnapDollars,Send Earnings, Creation, mycoke rewards, E-poll etc. Each did some the same sites and some different sites. Totaling at least 15 - 20 a piece. They're not what people say they are. Yes they are easy to do and you can receive money and prizes, compensating you for your time and effort. So they're not a scam. They're very time consuming though. When you add the time together, It's more time then you think! If you do decide to get into surveying, you better plan on spending 8 to 10 hours a day and make minimum wage. Sometimes you will hit good surveys that will pay you a lot, but what's required to get that is amount, the calculations of the time involved, and what you got paid in these "higher" paying surveys, still only averages out to minimum wage. It's a psychological thing because the time is spread out on these, so it doesn't seem to be as long as it really is. But we did the documentation's and figured the time vs money factor. We found that there was more time with little money to be made.
Here's how the survey's work. You spend approximately 10 to 15 minutes per each site to register and set up a profile to qualify for surveys. (this is non paid). To make anything really work, you need to register for at least 14 different ones, and make sure non are related to each other. Then you'll start receiving emails for surveys. Each survey you have to complete a 15 to 20 minute "pre-qualifying" survey, after you were already told you qualified based on your profile (you don't get paid for this) Then if you do qualify for a survey (which majority of the ones you don't qualify for. so you've wasted this 15 to 20 minutes and sometimes longer of non paid time.) Then if you don't qualify for one, they offer another and you have to do the same thing, and the same thing happens.) You waste approximately 45 minutes to an hour until you finally qualify for a survey. You take a 30 to 45 minute survey and make normally $1 to $3 a survey that they claim takes 15 minutes. Or instead of money, you earn "points" which later on can be exchanged for money or prizes. You have to earn enough points to make $10. That's not including the 15 minute pre qualifying survey, that you had to repeatedly do prior to land this survey. So you've now spent thirty minutes to an hour and made $3 or a few points. And the process between each of the survey sites is the same. So you can pretty much do the math. It averages out to be between $2 to $6 an hour. Sometimes you do come across a survey that will pay you $25 to $75 a survey, BUT there's A LOT more to it then what meets the eye on that as well.
Here's how the larger pay out survey's work. It could be a telephone survey or a Internet survey. You get the pre qualifying part of 10 to 20 minutes then if you qualify for it another 15 to 30 minute survey or a telephone survey about the product your about to try to see if you qualify to try it. Even though you took a 10 to 20 minute "pre qualifying survey" that said you qualify for. When you qualify for it, they send you a product out to try for 7 to 10 days and you do some daily documentation's on it. Depending on what the product is and the documentation's it's usually 5 - 15 minutes each daily documentation. (you got a free product to use around the house, this is a good part of it) after trying the product out you have to complete another survey that takes between 15 to 30 minutes to do. Now you do the calculations on that. You don't get as many of these types of survey's. They use the hype on getting paid $25 to $75 dollars for 15 minute surveys. NOTICE THE PLURAL IN "SURVEYS" What they don't tell you is that there is more then one survey involved in these. Now calculate from your pre-qualifying survey to the next pre-qualifying survey from the company carrying the product, to the trial and documentation's, to the last survey on these products. Then you receive a check four weeks to six weeks later. Do the math, that's less then minimum wage!
Are you wanting to work from home? I'm guessing this is the case for posting this. Unfortunatly online jobs, suveys etc are pretty much a null. The ones that are available your looking at only making minimum waged or less.
With my experience in being able to work from home, I found the best way for more income opportunity is to have your own Home Based Business. If you obtain a home based job, you will make minimum wage or low wages. Home based businesses you have the same income opportunity as a traditional business has, with less over head expenses to pay for each month as well as the cost to start up is less. Most everything in your house, is part of your business, which becomes tax write offs. Your telephone, computer, heating, electricity, car etc. Less over head, less bills to pay out then a traditional business which means MORE profit and way more money then what you would earn in just a job.
With the business experiences that I have had, the best type of home based business to have, I feel is collaborating with another business. That's what we did years and years ago. We collaborated with the largest direct selling Telecommunications service provider in the world. They market in Local and Long Distance telephone services, Internet, video phones, digital phones, VOIP, Satellite TV as well as all the major cellular phone providers such as Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Alltell, Nextell etc. We save people money on services that they already have and can introduce them to services that they don't have. Every time these people pay their bills, we make a percentage over and over again each month. It's really easy to do and we do it from home. So this is one type of home based business available. There are a lot of different opportunities out there, that can make you a sufficient amount of money. No, home based businesses are no scams. They are businesses not jobs though.

Wow your question BLEW UP! I know that this can be frustrating. I went through the same thing. I was desperately searching for something I could do from home. Getting so confused, frustrated and discouraged! There is SO much junk out there! I did eventually find a great business that has changed my life. There is legit opportunity out there.
